Dick & Dom's Comic Relief Countdown
This is a revision of a title sequence I had previously created for CBBC. The schedule for this one was as equally brutal!
ZOEY 101 Promo
Concepts for the promo had already been established and aproved by Nickelodeon. Persistent Peril were called in to facilitate its production. Garth and Ginny redrew the concepts as vectors and then I put everything together in After Effects and incorporated the live action clips. Garth helped with additional After Effects animation for the background swirls. We did the whole thing in 5 days.
Orange 'Conversation'
@ Tandem Films for Orange
The GC elements and animation had already been created. I took the rendered passes into After Effects, composited them and created the final shadows, gold and silver paper colouring and the overall ethereal Christmassy look. The Ad was produced for Romanian Television.
The Messiah Complex 'Fever'
Music video I did everything on apart from the music. The video was broadcast on MTV Europe Christmas 2004.
Dick & Dom's Comic Relief Countdown
@ Tandem Films for CBBC
Using the CBBC Comic Relief web site as a basis, I directed, illustrated and animated the opening title sequence for the show. I also did the animated countdown numbers for the show and the straps that appeared throughout. The BBC gave me 4 days to do this!
ITV 'My Band'
@ Tandem Films for ITV
A rough treatment had already been produced by ITV Creative. I was asked to help focus, develop and execute the idea, together with my friend, Garth, and another talented animator, Helene Friren. I took on a directorial role as well as animating the ‘boys’ and compositing and editing the final piece. Simon Cowell did not take the show beyond concept so, unfortunately, the CTA was never used.
Rhymes & Costumes
For cbeebies
I was asked to produce a series of animations which incorporated animated, illustrated assets with live action studio footage. The assets where illustrated by Catherine Land, a freelance Art Director at the BBC, and the footage was also supplied. It was my job to take it all and make the magic happen. The schedules were tight but I'm really please with the results. As always, some work better than others!
